Those are the words of the very last prophet to hold the record of the people of Nephi that we know to be the Book of Mormon. He wrote those words with the full knowledge that one day what he wrote would be available to all people around the world as a living tangible proof of a nations history and their dealings with the savior. But most importantly he wrote that so that we, as honest seekers of spiritual truth could read the promise which God has given the Book of Mormon, that whoever will read those words with pure intent, then ask God if they be His words, They SHALL recieve an answer from God that these are His words. These words are the words that i challenged as a 15 year old. Wheni decided to find out for myself if this is book is truely God's proof for us today. I stand as a witness that if you, as an honest seeker of spiritual truth, will take the time to open your heart to these words, your soul will be filled with the Holy Spirit and you will know with 100% surety that this is God's word for us today (of course along with the Bible). I am only qualified to say this, because this has happened to me and continues to happen to me everyday i open my heart to the words. Now i challenge you, if you are seeking, read alittle in this book, think about the words that you read and the powerful feelings of peace and comfort you feel, then pray to God and ask Him if they are His words, if you do so with honest intent and with Faith that you will recieve, you will know even as I know today, that The Book of Mormon is God's word and that God's church has been restored to the earth today, and Is led through the Savior himself through a modern-day Prophet. I write and challenge you in the name of Jesus Christ.
